Golf de Lille Metropole, Lille FR

Golf Lille Metropole has an 18 and 9 holes course. At the arrival, it all looks a bit messy. The shop isn't the most appealing, the parking is on a dirt underground, and some trash of older inhabitants of this piece of land still hang around. The driving range gets your hopes up. Ever hit a ball in big hole with 50, 100, 150 and 200 meter signs in it? It looks like a meteorite has struck here... but it looks nice!

The 9 holes course starts at hole 16 of the 18 holes course. So you'll get to meet some people who have gone all the way, which is nice for experience sharing. The holes has nice curves, drops, hidden holes and bunkers. Don't get over excited here! Holes 3 - 9 are on the other side of the track of the fast train TGV, which every now and then gives that extra French flair to the round. Hole 5 is a short, but very narrow one. You'll be able to earn some points here but be careful. After the put you will get rewarded with one of the best views over a hole: Hole 6 is only 110 meters from black, but about 45 meters lower than the tee, with an amazing drop straight into an excavation.

Didn't try the restaurant.
Overall: 8
